Tana records meeting context, builds connected knowledge, and lets agents act on that context while the conversation is still fresh. That puts it near tools like Granola for meeting capture, Notion AI for workspace knowledge, and Linear or Zapier when the output needs to become operational work.

The pricing page is specific. Free is $0 and includes 5 meetings a month with AI transcripts and summaries, 1 calendar connection, access to view and edit all content, and 50 AI queries. Pro is advertised with early-bird pricing at $20 per user/month yearly or $30 monthly. It includes 20x more AI than Free, unlimited hosted meetings, a botless meeting agent for Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet, integrations, and full MCP. Max is $80 per user/month yearly or $120 monthly and adds 5x more AI than Pro, dedicated support and onboarding, unlimited agents, skills, and types, plus integration support. Business is custom yearly pricing with SAML SSO, advanced controls, designated customer success, audit logs, custom DPA, and data residency or retention controls.

What makes Tana different is the combination of meeting memory, structured knowledge, and tool-connected agents. The site gives concrete examples: all-hands prep, copywriting in a house voice, executive briefs under 150 words, bug triage, deal follow-up, OKR updates, customer research, and CRM updates. For builders, the important detail is MCP. Tana explicitly lists MCP and describes connecting to tools like GitHub, Slack, HubSpot, Linear, Jira, calendars, Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, and soon Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

The downside is scope. Tana is best when meetings are where work is born; it may be too opinionated if your team only wants a lightweight personal knowledge base. Compliance buyers should also verify SOC 2 and HIPAA status because the homepage marks them as in progress with an ETA. Still, for teams drowning in recurring calls, Tana’s pitch is concrete: capture decisions, create artifacts, and let agents move work forward without another round of manual note cleanup.

A good Tana pilot should focus on one meeting-heavy team rather than the whole company. Product teams can test standups, design reviews, and customer calls; sales teams can test discovery, CRM updates, and follow-up drafts; executives can test weekly briefs and board-prep workflows. Measure whether decisions, owners, and artifacts appear faster after meetings. Also test data portability before committing, because Tana’s value increases as more meeting memory accumulates inside its graph.
