Standout is a web-based LinkedIn profile optimizer aimed at job seekers who want recruiters to find them for a specific role. The user enters a name or public LinkedIn URL and a target job title, and can optionally paste the current headline and About section for a sharper result. Within about a minute the tool returns a recruiter-visibility score from 0 to 100, findings on the headline, About and Experience sections, and a list of recruiter-search keywords the profile is missing for that role.

The paid step is deliberately small. For a one-time $1, Standout produces three paste-ready rewrites: a keyword-optimized headline of up to 220 characters, a rewritten About section and the top three experience bullets reworded for recruiter search. Results appear on screen and an emailed link lets the user return to them later. A $5 Full Profile Pack extends the rewrites to the whole profile in one pass. There is no subscription.

The tool is algorithmic rather than a human writing service: there are no intake calls, interviews or revision rounds. It also stays out of the user's account. It never asks for a LinkedIn login, never posts, and does not handle resumes or PDFs, photos, banners or skills lists. That keeps the privacy footprint small but limits scope to the text sections that most affect search.

In September 2026 Standout published a benchmark in which its audit engine scored 50 modeled LinkedIn profiles; the median score was 38 out of 100, and it reported that 42% of headlines never named the target job title.

The site gives little operator information, naming only the Standout brand without a legal entity or a stated refund policy, which buyers may want to weigh even at a $1 price. Against alternatives, Standout is narrower than resume builders like Kickresume and LinkedIn content tools like Taplio, and cheaper than human profile-writing services. It fits best as a quick diagnostic and first-draft generator before a job search, with the output edited by the user before pasting it into LinkedIn.
