Physical Intelligence (π)

Physical Intelligence, often shortened to PI or π, is a San Francisco-based robotics foundation-model company building general-purpose AI systems that can control physical hardware. Where most robotics startups train task-specific policies, PI's bet is that a single large model trained across diverse robots and tasks — analogous to how language models generalize across text — will be the substrate for a wave of practical robotics applications.
