Outset AI is an AI-powered research tool used by product, UX, marketing, and CX teams to run qualitative interviews without a human moderator. You define the discussion guide once — key questions, follow-up areas, screening criteria — and Outset conducts the interview as a live conversational session, either in voice or in text, with each participant. Because it's an LLM under the hood, it can ask contextual follow-ups the way a good researcher would, probing for the 'why' behind an answer instead of collecting flat survey responses. Every interview is transcribed, tagged, and rolled up into cross-participant themes and quotes, letting you see the shape of hundreds of conversations in minutes instead of weeks. Integrations with panel providers make it easy to recruit and screen respondents, and outputs can be exported to Notion, Miro, or standard research repositories.
