Pricing Gotchas

The jump from Plus ($12) to Business ($20) is steep when all you want is AI. For a 10-person team, that is $80/month more, or $960/year. If your team only needs basic project management and occasional AI help, that math does not work. Try the free AI trial on Plus first.

Custom Agent credits add a second, unpredictable cost layer. A simple agent checking one database uses few credits. An agent that reads long pages, searches Salesforce, and writes summaries can burn through credits fast. Notion does not publish per-task credit costs, so you have to monitor the credits dashboard and adjust. Credits do not roll over, so overbuying wastes money too.

Enterprise Search connectors (Slack, Google Drive, Salesforce) are Business+ features but the real hidden requirement is that your connected tools must be well-maintained. Stale Slack channels and abandoned Google Docs pollute the AI's answers.
