Use Inngest AgentKit when reliability is the pain: long-lived research jobs, customer-support automations that must retry safely, enrichment pipelines triggered by product events, background AI tasks after checkout or signup, or workflows that need model-call throttling during traffic spikes. It is less appropriate when your team wants a visual agent builder, a hosted chatbot, or a business-user workflow tool with prebuilt app actions. Developers still need to design prompts, tools, schemas, permissions, and fallback behavior.
