Overview

Claude Squad is a small but sharp CLI (installed as cs) that lets a single engineer run many AI coding agents in parallel — Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Amp, Aider, and Gemini CLI are all supported out of the box. Each agent runs inside its own tmux pane against its own git worktree, so their edits never collide and you can review each experiment as an isolated branch. The typical workflow: press n to spawn a new agent on a task, describe what you want in natural language, then move on and start another. Claude Squad watches for auto-accept prompts and pushes agents forward without you babysitting each terminal. When an agent finishes, its branch can be checked out, diffed, and merged directly from the TUI — or discarded with a single keystroke. Because everything is git-worktree isolated, running 4–8 concurrent Claude Code sessions on the same repo is safe: they can't overwrite each other's WIP, and you can compare their solutions side-by-side before picking a winner. The project is Apache-2 licensed with 8k+ GitHub stars and is often used together with Anthropic's Max plan to squeeze more parallel throughput out of one Claude subscription. Installation is a single Homebrew command (brew install claude-squad). There's nothing to configure — it inherits whatever agents you already have on your PATH.
