ChatCut (chatcut.io) is a prompt-based AI video editor built around an editing agent rather than templates. You describe the edit you want ('find the highlights and add B-roll to my video') and the agent watches your footage, understands what each clip is about, sequences clips in an order that makes sense, removes repeated takes, and assembles a first cut on a real multi-track timeline (video, graphics, and music tracks). Beyond agent editing it bundles AI generation tools: Seedance 2.0 video generation, GPT Image 2 and Nano Banana 2 image generation, AI captions, AI music generation, and motion graphics with transparent export. You can use it directly in the browser or drive it from agent tools: ChatCut ships an official ChatGPT/Codex desktop plugin (installed from the public marketplace repo github.com/ChatCut-Inc/agent-plugin) whose setup registers local MCP servers (a node_repl MCP server, and it works alongside the Codex in-app Browser MCP), so a coding agent can install, verify, and operate the editor for you.
