Open-source, local-first desktop AI agent workspace for research, document processing, customer message drafting and scheduled business workflows.
A desktop app where an AI agent researches, summarizes documents, drafts customer messages and runs scheduled tasks, with your data kept locally.
aiFetchly is an open-source desktop AI agent workspace aimed at business automation. It is described as local-first, meaning business data stays on the user's computer by default, and it runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
The core of the product is a tool-using AI chat that turns a request into a guided, multi-step task. The agent can call tools the user has approved, and every run produces a transcript, drafts and a record of tool activity that can be reviewed before anything proceeds. Permission gates let users decide which tools run automatically and which actions need approval, and tool allowlists and blocked actions add further control.
A business knowledge library sits alongside the agent. Users add their own files, and the agent uses them to ground answers, summaries, operating guidance, reports and draft documents. Other built-in workflows cover browser-assisted research that collects and organizes public information, turning websites, documents and URL lists into notes and tables, and drafting customer messages and templates that a person reviews before sending. A scheduled workflow runner handles recurring and chained jobs, and an operations dashboard shows task status, priorities and scheduled work.
The workspace is extensible through installable skills, plugin bundles, specialist subagents and MCP tools and servers, which lets it reach services beyond its built-in features.
Pricing is simple. The Community version is free. Go costs $5/month and adds MCP support with a starter token allowance and a basic analytics dashboard. Plus at $10/month doubles the Go token allowance and adds scheduled workflow management, and Pro at $30/month triples the Plus allowance. Exact token amounts and yearly prices are not published, and the site does not name the AI model providers used or the specific open-source license.
aiFetchly fits users who want an agent running on their own machine with approval steps, rather than a cloud automation platform. Compared with n8n or Zapier it is less about connecting SaaS apps through triggers and more about an AI agent working through research and documents. Compared with cloud agents such as Manus or Lindy, its local-first, open-source approach is the main difference.
