A platform for multi-agent orchestration and evaluation with observability tools for building, testing, and deploying agent systems.
This AgentX review examines a hosted platform for designing, evaluating, and deploying AI agents. Its self-builder offering targets solo developers, side projects, and internal teams that want to own and run agents inside their products or workflows. The first-party pricing page explicitly distinguishes this path from agency work: self-builder plans do not provide white-labeling or client workspaces. That boundary matters because “agent platform” can otherwise describe very different products.
The public plan details include multiple workspaces, multi-agent workflows, API access, and production deployment. In practice, that lets a builder create specialist agents, connect them into a coordinated workflow, test behavior, and expose the result without stitching together a framework, evaluation service, and deployment layer. AgentX also promotes run observability and reliability testing. Teams that prefer code-first control should compare it with CrewAI and LangGraph; those frameworks offer deeper architectural flexibility but require the team to operate more of the stack.
The clearest use case is a bounded workflow with separable roles, for example, one agent gathers sources, another extracts facts, and a third drafts a report. Before deployment, create a fixed evaluation set containing normal requests, missing inputs, tool failures, and disallowed actions. Measure task success, unsupported claims, tool-call errors, median latency, and human correction time. Dedicated products such as AgentOps and LangSmith remain relevant if monitoring an existing agent stack is the primary need.
The current first-party page lists Free at $0 forever, including one workspace, up to five agents, 200 one-time credits, one seat, multi-agent workflows, and API access. Solo Builder costs $49 per month or $490 per year, includes unlimited workspaces, up to 25 agents, 5,000 credits per month, one seat, production deployment, and multi-agent workflows. Additional Solo credits cost $10 per 1,000. Paying yearly saves $98 versus 12 monthly payments.
The pricing page describes other ways to work with AgentX, but only these self-builder prices and allowances were clearly recoverable in the captured vendor material. Confirm current agency or done-for-you terms directly rather than relying on older plan names. Ask whether credits include model-provider charges, the billing treatment for failed runs, whether credits roll over, and what happens when an agent exceeds a limit.
AgentX’s strength is consolidation: a small team can move from prototype to evaluation and API deployment in one product. Its main constraint is collaboration. Both published self-builder plans list one seat, and Solo’s 25-agent ceiling may matter to teams running many customer-specific agents. Credits make costs predictable only after measuring a representative workload.
Run 100 test cases before production and require at least 90% correct task completion, zero unauthorized actions, and a replayable record for every failure. Compare total cost, including credits, model usage if separate, and reviewer time, with your current framework. The guide to monitoring AI agents in production offers a useful checklist. AgentX is best for a solo builder or compact internal team that values an integrated path more than maximum infrastructure control.
